SPOTIFY CANVAS

For this project, I decided to create a Spotify Canvas for the artist Monster Rally. Monster Rally’s music is characterized by experimental instrumentals, often with a strong emphasis on nature. A Spotify Canvas is a three-to eight-second animation or clip that plays underneath the user interface in the Spotify app. While listening to Monster Rally’s music, I discovered their website, which featured incredibly colorful and well-designed listings for their albums. Upon seeing the listing for their Chameleon album, I was inspired to create a promotional Spotify Canvas. I began by sketching out different ideas for assets and creating a moodboard based on the album cover. I then transferred the sketches into Illustrator, where I created the assets that I would later animate for the final product.
